Many of our vinyl and aluminum products carry a Fenced Up Warranty and are lifetime and transferable which will give you peace of mind for many years to come. If a gate gives you a problem, we will be there for you.
Fenced Up warranty on wood products
Due to the ever changing nature of wood, we can only guarantee a fencing warranty on our workmanship unless there are widespread issues that can be guaranteed by the lumber provider. All the lumber used in our wood fences is pressure treated unless otherwise noted. Pressure treated lumber helps to control insect and decay. We can provide a quote on this service or can guide you through the process if you prefer to do it yourself. Depending on the method and products used, this should be done every 3-7 years.
Staining vs. Painting
Staining is nice and adds and may add a desired color, but lacks much protection on its own. If you do go the stain route, make sure it has a wood preserver in it. Stay away from the cheaper wood protectors as they primarily use waxes which fade very quickly. A 5 gallon pail will stain about 100 feet of 6′ high fencing face. Which means, it would take two 5 gallon pails to complete a 100′ run of fencing. Stains are nice and show the grain of the wood, but the deck paints work great for a full protection.
