Priced right and built to last, chain link fencing is still the go-to fence.
Chain Link fencing has been a mainstay in the fencing business for over 100 years. Developed in the mid-1800s in the UK, chain-link fencing was first mass-produced in the United States about 50 years later when the designs to the wire-weaving machine that produced the fencing were purchased by an American company. Although there is no privacy with chain link, it does play an important role in security fencing and can be used for all applications from residential homes to maximum security prisons. The common height for residential homes is 48″, but 60″ up to 96″ are available if you want to go full out on security. Most residential chain link fencing now is a zinc product with heavier gauges available for the commercial industry including full galvanized hot dipped options. Vinyl coated black and green is also an option for an average of 20% more in cost. Though it does not provide the privacy of wood fencing or vinyl fencing, it is unmatched with strength and durability.
